Responsibilities
Preparing complex tax returns including individual, fiduciary, corporate, partnership, tax returns by required deadlines
Working with clients to ensure relevant tax-related information is gathered so that an accurate tax return can be prepared
Looking at the tax situation of the individual, their trusts, and their estate from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied
Working with the tax and national Wealth Transition Services team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed including tax planning, client interaction and performing special tax projects
Attending professional development and training seminars on a regular basis
Effectively interacting with all levels of staff, clients, and other external business contacts
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Actively working towards obtaining a CPA license or Enrolled Agent certification
3+ years of experience in public accounting tax work including experience with small LLC business entities, pass through, S-corps, individual tax returns
Well-rounded knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies
Problem-solving skills and ability to notice issues while bringing solutions to the table
Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship
