Responsibilities
Assure presence of specifications and all PQG documentation on all lines
Monitor the organization of PQG data collected on all three shifts
Monitor the organization of the retain samples (library) program
Monitor and ensure product traceability
Ensure adherence to our food safety programs including HACCP
Follow up with the PQG certification program to ensure all finished goods meet specifications
Follow up on implemented programs to ensure compliance with GMP’s by all employees and other
Aid in the administration of microbiological monitoring procedures to determine the efficacy of sanitation methods
Monitor employee practice to aid in a pest-free environment
Develop and implement new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality performance
Supervise operation to comply with all applicable safety laws and regulations, as well as Company safety policies, procedures and standards
Maintain a fair and professional work environment that focuses on the business objectives
Develop and maintain training and development programs that support key performance goals for the company, as well as provide a satisfying and rewarding work environment for employees
Manage daily operations to ensure compliance with all auditing body requirements (i.e. FDA, SQF, etc.)
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 5 years in Quality Assurance preferably in a food manufacturing environment
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in related field
Basic Technical Writing Skills
Good communication skills
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Experience with Chemical training
HACCP Certified
PCQI Certified
Preferred
AA, B.A. or B.S. degree in the field of science (Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science or Technology, etc.)
