Responsibilities

Provide clinical care, nursing assessments and interventions with a focus on promoting and restoring health, preventing injury and illnesses and protecting workers from occupational and environmental hazards
Management of work related injuries and illnesses
Manage factory's Worker's Compensation program and prepare reports and updates of regulatory logs for safety and worker's compensation programs
Participate in assessments and work area evaluations (i.e. Ergonomic task analysis and work stations)
Lead the Transitional Work Program and develop return to work strategies following serious injuries or periods of prolonged illness
Represent Nestle as the Workers' Compensation Administrator for the factory and act as a liaison for the Company with local physicians, other health care agencies and third party administrators for worker's compensation claims
Maintain confidential medical records to include pre-employment medical exams and drug screening process
Provide a range of health and safety related training, as needed

Required

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois
Minimum of 2 - 5 years of relevant work experience, strongly preferred within occupational health
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office software and web-based applications
Certified in CPR and AED use
Bilingual in Spanish

Preferred

Experience with Workers' Compensation claims management
Experience with OSHA recordkeeping and maintaining OSHA logs
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience as an Occupational Health Nurse (COHN or COHN-S preferred)
First Aid/CPR/AED/BBP Certified Trainer
