Michigan Solar Solutions is a growing renewable energy company seeking a Field Service Technician / Site Surveyor. The role involves conducting site surveys and troubleshooting power and communication issues while working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Conduct site surveys; figure out the general scope of jobs ahead of their installation date, by walking the site to gather relevant information about the installation process, as well as piloting a drone to gather all roof/other details

Perform service calls; troubleshoot & diagnose power & communication issues with a variety of systems, including SolarEdge, Enphase, Sol-Ark, Tesla & others

There is often 2-6 hours of (PAID) drive time, daily

Required

The ability to work on a roof

Needs to be comfortable working outdoors year-round, in a variety of weather conditions

The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 60 lbs

Excellent critical thinking & problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills and experience talking with customers

Works well in a team environment

Driver's License

Preferred

Prior Solar &/or electrical-related experience

Tech-savvy enough to navigate various apps, as needed, for system commissioning & problem-solving

Drone experience is a PLUS, but not necessary upon application

At Least 1 Year as a Solar Installer

Background in Electrical/ Mechanical Troubleshooting

Part 107 License
