Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy – Internal Medicine (Clinical Track)

The University of Southern California is seeking candidates for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty appointment as Assistant/Associate Professor of Clinical Pharmacy in the Titus Family Department. The successful candidate will contribute to education, patient care, and research, focusing on teaching in the Doctor of Pharmacy program and developing clinical practices in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

Contribute to teaching excellence through didactic instruction and course coordination in the Doctor of Pharmacy program
Preceptorship of APPE and IPPE student experiences in addition to PGY1 pharmacy resident learning experiences
Contribute to and further develop an established inpatient clinical practice in Internal Medicine at LAGMC
Collaborate and communicate with interprofessional health care teams to provide exceptional patient care that supports innovative clinical/translational research
Encourage collaborative research and scholarship across departments and schools within the university
Develop a scholarly focus aligned with their area(s) of expertise and promotion guidelines for the clinical track
Contribute to the growth of the profession through service on a national level
Participate in routine faculty administration and participation duties, including attendance at departmental and pharmacy faculty council meetings

Required

PharmD degree
current California licensure (or eligibility for licensure with passing the State Board exam at the first available offering)
demonstrated experience in clinical service, research, and teaching in the specialty
completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency with a primary focus in the acute care setting or equivalent

Preferred

completed a PGY2 pharmacy residency (internal medicine, clinical pharmacogenomics, or related specialty area)
additional training or experience in Clinical Pharmacogenomics
greater demonstrated levels of academic and clinical accomplishments and leadership skills for those considered for the associate professor rank
