Faculty Professor Research Assistant - Full-Time
The University of Pittsburgh is recruiting a full-time Research Assistant Professor in the field of Cancer Research to join the Division of Malignant Hematology/Medical Oncology. The successful candidate will lead established programs within the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center and contribute to research design, funding applications, and manuscript preparation.

Responsibilities
Join and lead established programs within the UPMC Hillman Cancer Center
Provide intellectual input into the research and design process
Be responsible for one or one sub-project that integrates with the research group portfolio
Articulate the problem, develop the research plan, budget, conduct the research, interpret the results, and prepare manuscripts
Apply for both internal and external sources of research funding that complement the research group’s portfolio
Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, review articles, book chapters, and grant proposals
Qualification
Required
Doctoral or appropriate professional degree
Promise of excellence in research
Demonstrated substantial experience in advanced study and research
Published five or more articles in peer reviewed journals
Made research presentations at scientific meetings
Active interest in advancing their career by attending local and national scientific meetings
Ability to provide intellectual input into the research and design process
Responsible for one or one sub-project that integrates with the portfolio of the research group
Ability to articulate the problem, develop the research plan, budget, conduct the research, interpret the results, and prepare manuscripts
Encouraged to apply for both internal and external sources of research funding
Assist in the preparation of manuscripts, review articles, book chapters, and grant proposals
