Responsibilities

Lead and perform statistical sampling activities to support audit of key accounting balances including tasks such as data profiling, designing sampling methodologies, selecting samples, performing extrapolation and presenting results to stakeholders

Provide expert statistical guidance in developing forecasting models and methodologies that strengthen audit assertions, leveraging advanced analytical tools and recognized statistical techniques

Automate recurring processes and reporting workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort

Collaborate with internal teams, external auditors, and leadership to ensure audit requirements are met

Maintain organized and traceable documentation repositories

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (or at least 5 years of equivalent experience in data analytics, federal financial management, or audit readiness)

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial data analytics, process automation, or PowerApps development

Proficiency in Python, Databricks, or similar tools for statistical sampling, analysis and reporting

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytics to non-technical audiences

Active DoD Secret security clearance

Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) with experience in supporting large audit readiness, audit sustainment or audit remediations programs within the DoD
