The intern will assist in evaluating environmental risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leveraging AI tools for environmental modeling and analysis.

Responsibilities
Conduct preliminary environmental and toxicological evaluations for proposed geothermal well sites or infrastructure
Use AI-powered tools to organize, analyze, and model environmental datasets such as groundwater chemistry, air emissions, soil sampling results, or ecological survey data
Assist in preparing environmental permit applications by compiling supporting data, reviewing regulatory requirements, and coordinating with internal teams
Support the development of monitoring plans for air, water, and soil quality at project sites
Compile and analyze spatial data related to habitat, land use, hydrology, and sensitive resources using ArcGIS or QGIS
Qualification
Required
Advanced undergraduate or graduate student in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Toxicology, Earth Science, Public Health, or similar discipline
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience working with environmental datasets
Familiarity with toxicology concepts, including exposure pathways and dose–response considerations
Proficiency with MS Office software
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Willingness and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, distributed work environment
