Trade show & Event Manager

They are seeking a highly organized Events Manager to plan and execute global trade shows and corporate events, enhancing customer experience through effective event management.

Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of trade-show and event planning — including venue selection, booth design coordination, shipping/logistics, staffing, travel, setup, and teardown — ensuring seamless execution and a consistent brand experience
Manage all event logistics: budgets, timelines, vendor contracts, shipping/freight, signage, exhibit services, hotel and travel bookings, attendee registration, and trade-show staffing schedules
Serve as or collaborate with the primary 'go-to' on the ground at shows, overseeing staff, vendors, scheduling, and troubleshooting issues onsite
Support post-show activities: facilitate lead capture, data handoff, event debriefs, and ROI tracking to continuously improve performance and drive measurable impact
Monitor and report on event metrics, including budget vs. actuals, shipping/handling efficiency and cost, vendor performance, booth traffic, lead quality, and engagement outcomes
Collaborate cross-functionally with strategic marketing, sales, operations, and vendors to align event execution with broader marketing campaigns and business goals
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and technology teams to curate sample assortments — including supporting technical information — that facilitate ease of sample selection and align with our brand promise and strategic focus areas
Manage end-to-end sample room operations: forecasting needs, overseeing packaging and presentation, coordinating replenishment, and maintaining a simple but reliable inventory system that supports day-to-day opportunity execution as well as surges associated with events
Facilitate customer loyalty and appreciation programs: lead selection of gift options, coordinate with sales and marketing, and ensure fulfillment on time and on budget
Own the corporate event calendar, travel schedule, and logistics tracker; ensure all team members and vendors adhere to deadlines and deliverables
Ensure compliance with global tradeshow and corporate policies (travel, spending, inventory control)
Travel: occasional travel throughout the year to key shows (domestic and potential international) with the ability to be onsite for show week plus travel days
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Event Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
3–5+ years of experience managing corporate events and global trade shows — preferably in a B2B or industrial/technical environment
Strong logistics and project-management skills: ability to manage multiple moving parts, vendors, people, and timelines with precision
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts, freight/shipping logistics, accommodations, onsite staff, and overall event execution
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); comfortable working cross-functionally and managing internal and external stakeholders
Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent multitasking ability, and comfortable in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
Demonstrated success managing multiple events simultaneously, often with overlapping timelines, with the ability to pivot quickly and prioritize competing tasks
Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and potentially international) and be onsite at events
Based in the Atlanta area and able to commute to our corporate site as needed
Must be comfortable multitasking and working cross-functionally (with sales, strategic marketing, operations, and external vendors)
Preferred
Experience in customer sampling and/or marketing collateral or inventory management
Experience with trade-show lead capture systems and post-event reporting
Proficiency with event-management software/tools, budget-tracking systems, and freight/shipping platforms
Certifications such as CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) or CEM (Certified in Exhibition Management)
Previous experience in a technical, manufacturing, or B2B environment; life sciences industry experience a plus
