$60K/yr - $80K/yrDonegal Insurance Group is looking for a motivated Actuarial Analyst to support their team with the ratemaking process for commercial lines of business as well as capital modeling. This role will involve data analysis, forecasting, and reporting to ensure that future pricing is set appropriately to achieve overall profitability goals.

Responsibilities
Perform semiannual profitability reviews using various actuarial methods and tools
Analyze loss, claim, exposure, and premium data to determine appropriate pricing
Work with Product Development and Underwriting to develop proposed rate level changes and support the filing of changes with various state Departments of Insurance
Assist with capital modeling efforts and reporting of results to senior management
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency of recurring analyses
Build and run data reports for requests both inside and outside of the department
Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics team to share knowledge and insights across teams and ensure informed, data-driven decisions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Data & Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
Pursuing an actuarial designation in the Casualty Actuarial Society including successful completion of one or more Actuarial exams
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Basic knowledge of SQL
Strong analytical skills
Attention to detail
Accurately complete assigned tasks on a timely basis
Learn and retain information relating to job functions
Project management skills, ability to handle multiple projects and manage projects to meet deadlines
Maintain professionalism at all times
Preferred
Intermediate knowledge of SQL
Basic knowledge of C/C++, Python, VBA, or other programming language
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Power BI
