Responsibilities

Provide guidance, coaching, and training to other junior level employees

Ensure programs are accomplished on schedule and within budget while complying with process/procedures and program requirements

Provide input into new products, processes, standards, and production plans that have measurable impact on the achievement of overall business results

Capable of influencing a wide range of audience, and having demonstrated leadership skills to win support without direct reporting structure

Required

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant aircraft design experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related aircraft design experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

Familiarity with FAA (Part 23 or 25) or military aircraft airworthiness design approach, certification process, and requirements

Advanced knowledge and skills using ECAD tools

Progressive understanding of power systems and various mission systems

Must be able to travel international to support field modifications

Be able to travel to and from the flight line, work in aircraft hangar environment and board/exit aircraft is required

Capable of managing and working in an environment that is fast paced, demanding, with a focus on problem resolution and process improvement

A minimum of an active DoD Secret Clearance is required

Preferred

Ten (10) years of aircraft design related experience in defense aerospace industry

Outstanding communication (both verbally and written), negotiation, collaboration, time management, presentation, and organizational skills

Experience developing secondary power distribution systems, performing wire deration calculations, and familiarity with aircraft power systems standards like MIL-STD-704

Results-oriented, empowering leader with direct experience exceling in a matrixed environment

Experience in electrical design using Siemens NX or Capital
