Senior Account Manager Benefits

The Senior Account Manager will maintain professional client relationships, oversee vendor management, and lead communication efforts to educate clients on benefits programs.
Responsibilities
Supports and demonstrates IMA’s core values
Values and understands the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion among all IMA associates
Maintains regular, professional contact to create and foster relationships with client representatives
Researches and resolves issues and requests in a timely manner, including issues requiring direct interactions
Answers questions related to benefits program
Conducts reviews and works to provide guidance on compliance related matters
Assists in and prepares materials and collateral for meetings and discussions
Actively participates in discussions
Records and reports meeting discussion and action items
Oversees new vendor/carrier implementations
Reviews carrier, vendor, and plan documents and contracts
Maintains regular contact with carrier and vendor representatives to ensure client advocacy and that issues are being resolved in a timely manner
Works with clients to develop short and long-term employee communication objectives
Creates member facing collateral pieces to promote and clarify benefit program features
Leads in person, virtual, and telephonic sessions to provide information and plan details to participants
Uses regular interactions to update clients on carrier and vendor partner features and services
Actively participates and contributes to client service team operations
Effectively communicates client updates to appropriate team members
Assists with other team duties as needed – i.e., position vacancy, cover personal time off, etc
Qualification
Required
Attains and maintains state life and health license in accordance with IMA standards
Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent job experience
4 or more years of relevant experience
Intermediate MS office skills (specifically PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel)
Ability to learn and work in agency/client management systems and other related software and technology platforms
Ability to work independently
Intermediate interpersonal communication skills – written and oral – with the ability to articulate ideas and information in a clear and concise manner
Demonstrates critical thinking and problem solving
Ability to present information in a group setting (in person and virtually)
Intermediate organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects with variable deadlines
Possesses high degree of diplomacy and tact while maintaining confidentiality
