Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, objectives, and constraints in order to develop technical solutions that align with business and technology strategies
Design and document technical architecture, ensuring it meets both functional and non-functional project requirements
Evaluate, manage, contribute to, and execute various proofs of concept (POCs) to select appropriate technology platforms, frameworks, and tools supporting the implementation of technical solutions
Create and present architectural designs, prototypes, and technical roadmaps to project teams and stakeholders
Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, operational excellence, coding standards, and best practices
Identify and mitigate technical risks, anticipate potential challenges, and propose contingency plans
Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the solution is scalable, reliable, secure, and performant
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on the organization's technical architecture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Demonstrated experience as a Distinguished, Software Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development and architecture
Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, distributed, and high-performance software solutions
Experience working with supply chain or accounts payable systems
Skilled in conceptualizing and implementing agentic AI systems that translate complex intelligence into automated, scalable decision frameworks aligned with strategic outcomes
Familiarity with architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices, including microservices, event-driven architecture, and DevOps
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Robust leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams
Experience in Agile development methodologies and practices
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Option 2: 8 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Preferred
Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly
Knowledge of accessibility best practices and Walmart's accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture
