Junior Mechanical Engineer

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist with the design, documentation, and improvement of hydraulic components and systems, working closely with experienced engineers to gain hands-on experience and contribute to projects.

Responsibilities
Help maintain drawings, specifications, and BOMs in the PLM system
Support the preparation and updating of work instructions and visual aids for product assembly and installation
Assist in drafting installation guides, manuals, and troubleshooting resources with oversight from senior staff
Provide entry-level technical support to internal teams; escalate complex issues to senior engineers
Participate in inspections and testing under guidance; help collect and organize quality data
Gather and summarize information on customer needs and industry trends to support product development
Create and update 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks, following established company standards
Learn and contribute ideas for improving engineering processes and documentation
Assist in maintaining accurate product data for catalogs and marketing
Collaborate with engineering, sales, and production teams to ensure smooth information flow
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an eagerness to learn hydraulic systems
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
High motivation to grow professionally and develop new skills
Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 pounds
Stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
English (Required)
Ability to commute/relocate: Phoenix, AZ 85027: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Preferred
Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks preferred); coursework or project experience is acceptable
0–2 years of engineering experience (internships or co-op programs a plus)
