They are seeking a strategic Director of Integrated Business Planning to drive the integrated business planning process, lead forecasting, demand planning, and network optimization to influence positive financial results for the company.

Responsibilities

Leads the enterprise-wide IBP process, integrating demand planning, supply chain management, financial forecasting, and operational execution to drive strategic alignment
Facilitates monthly IBP review meetings with cross-functional leadership, balancing demand, supply, and financial trade-offs to optimize business performance
Develops and maintains forecasting models, dashboards, and scenario-based planning tools to enhance decision-making and business resilience
Establishes and tracks IBP performance metrics, continuously refining processes to improve forecast accuracy, supply-demand alignment, and operational efficiency
Leverages digital tools and advanced analytics to enhance IBP processes, incorporating market conditions, customer demand, inventory levels, and planned outages
Monitors industry trends, customer behaviors, regulatory shifts, and competitor activity to inform planning assumptions and strategic decisions
Collaborates with Commercial and Strategy teams to assess market developments and their impact on volume, service mix, pricing, and profitability
Develops and refines statistical models to optimize inventory management, mitigate plant disruptions, and maintain high customer service levels
Analyzes forecast accuracy, identifying trends and variances to enhance predictive capabilities and proactive business adjustments
Maintains and updates rolling 18-month forecasts, ensuring timely and precise data uploads to support long-term planning
Develops short- and long-range forecasts that balance customer demand with operational capacity and financial targets
Identifies demand variances and aligns production, routing, and staffing strategies accordingly to optimize service delivery and asset utilization
Proactively manages risks to profitability, scalability, and operational efficiency through early detection of imbalances
Communicates significant forecast or capacity changes to Scheduling and Operations, ensuring proactive adjustments and seamless execution
Coordinates seamless information flow to internal teams and third-party transportation and disposal providers, ensuring a seamless, one-stop solution for customers
Partners with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Strategy teams to ensure end-to-end alignment of demand signals, service capabilities, and budget assumptions
Acts as a key liaison between field operations and executive leadership, ensuring operational realities are reflected in planning assumptions
Prepares and presents business plan summaries to senior management, delivering actionable insights that drive high-impact strategic decision-making
Provides strategic input into capital investment planning, pricing strategies, and growth modeling to enhance profitability and scalability
Serves as a key strategic leader, collaborating with the COO on supply and capacity planning, the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) on demand planning, and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) on revenue forecasting
Manages overall waste allocation across the network, ensuring proper balance for lowest cost and highest customer reliability
Leads network optimization processes to mitigate costs, maximize service efficiency, and resolve key supply-demand challenges
Sets the parameters for third party disposal agreements, swaps, etc. and partners with Procurement to lead agreement negotiations
Develops capacity simulation models to run sensitivity analyses for growth, pricing opportunities, and bottleneck resolution
Feeds constraint capacity data to Pricing and Engineering teams to enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and mix optimization
Leads the development of KPIs and performance dashboards to measure IBP effectiveness, forecast accuracy, and supply-demand alignment
Supports executive decision-making through scenario modeling, sensitivity analysis, and capacity planning tools
Identifies planning gaps or opportunities and recommends continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and business impact
Drives mix enrichment strategies, optimizing product and service offerings to maximize EBITDA growth and overall enterprise profitability

Required

Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or logistics (required)
10+ years of experience in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), supply chain, or business operations with significant exposure to the waste, logistics, or industrial services sectors (required)
Proven success leading enterprise-wide IBP processes with financial accountability and executive-level influence (required)
Experience leading and facilitating executive IBP meetings, ensuring alignment on key decisions and strategic priorities (required)
Expertise in supply and demand planning, inventory management, and financial forecasting, with a strong track record of designing and executing IBP-related processes
Deep knowledge of market dynamics in the waste of environmental services industry, including seasonal trends, regulatory impacts, and competitive positioning
Strong financial acumen with a comprehensive understanding of operational, commercial and supply chain drivers
Advanced technical and analytical skills, with proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP), Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Ability to balance long-term vision with immediate execution needs
Strong ability to develop strategy, communicate effectively at all levels and drive execution
Ability to lead, contribute, and influence cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment
Excellent ability to manage projects, foster teamwork, and convey information clearly and concisely
Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
