Responsibilities
Work directly with residential land development clients to understand and achieve their project goals
Collaborate with internal teams — civil engineers, planners, landscape architects, and surveyors — to prepare master plans, construction documents, and subdivision plats
Coordinate with permitting agencies, utility providers, and other stakeholders to guide projects efficiently through the approval process
Oversee design production to ensure accuracy, constructability, and high-quality deliverables
Manage schedules, budgets, and client expectations to support successful project outcomes
Provide mentorship, guidance, and oversight to less experienced engineering staff
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia or South Carolina - ability to obtain within 6 months
Minimum of 8 years of experience in residential land development design
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, including roadway design, grading, and utility layout
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong public speaking and presentation skills
High moral and ethical character with a strong work ethic and self-motivation
Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and collaboratively across multiple disciplines
Desire and ability to mentor junior staff members
