Part Time Research Health Coach
The Center for Veterans Research and Education (CVRE) is seeking a Research Health Coach to support innovative research and education initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of Veterans. The role involves assisting the research team in delivering a telehealth program that teaches mind-body skills to help rural Veterans manage chronic pain through facilitated group sessions and data collection.

Responsibilities
Deliver intervention program sessions
Facilitate 1.5 hour intervention program sessions
Follow an IRB approved protocol and facilitator manual
Track and communicate with participants, answering questions
Provide materials (physical, electronic) to participants as directed
Maintain timely completion of regulatory documents
Participate in data collection for approved protocols
Handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, state, and federal regulations for conducting research with human subjects
Participate in study meetings and communicate on a regular basis with the coordinating team
Perform complex tasks, coordinate processes, and participate in decision-making with the study team

Qualification
Required
Bachelors (BA/BS) degree in public health, sociology, psychology or related allied health field from an accredited college or university
Specific education in health and wellness coaching
1 year of specialized research and/or clinical mental health experience
A candidate without such experience will be considered with an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Experience in coordinating multiple tasks and project elements with differing timelines and completion deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to understand, adapt to and facilitate discussions with diverse people, teams, perspectives, and cultures
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to calmly and effectively react in emergency situations
Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, human subjects' protection, and federal regulations related to clinical research
Must be a US citizen
Preferred
Current certification as a Health and Wellness coach by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC)
Experience working with military/Veteran population
Experience working with individuals in crisis to include populations with trauma and suicidality
