Responsibilities

Generate high quality 2D and 3D CAD files in NX

Prepare and update detail design drawings, assembly drawings, Indented Parts Lists primarily for military applications

Applies the following in the creation of technical data packages: ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing, military standards and specifications, manufacturing and assembly processes

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to research, analyze and implement design solutions with attention to design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA)

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis calculations

Required

Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical and specialized tooling/handling equipment design

Comfortable as a cognizant designer of mechanical systems for military applications

Familiar with manufacturing environments and understand the tooling and equipment needed to aid fabrication and assembly

Well versed in Siemens NX CAD design software

Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Generate high quality 2D and 3D CAD files in NX

Prepare and update detail design drawings, assembly drawings, Indented Parts Lists primarily for military applications

Applies ANSI Y14.5 dimensioning and tolerancing, military standards and specifications, manufacturing and assembly processes in the creation of technical data packages

Collaborate closely with engineering teams to research, analyze and implement design solutions with attention to design for manufacturability and assembly (DFMA)

Perform tolerance stack-up analysis calculations

Demonstrated skills using Siemens NX (version 10.0 or greater)

Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance

Good communication skills

Ability to mentor/train junior level personnel
