Responsibilities
Lead the APD software integration strategy across internal systems and automation vendors, ensuring scalable, vendor-agnostic deployment of automation at new and existing stores
Drive the product roadmap for Blackbird’s integration and orchestration capabilities to achieve higher capacity, lower cost per order, and consistent on-time performance across all APD sites
Establish end-to-end visibility across inbound, outbound, and exception workflows — ensuring task orchestration between WMS, WES, and WCS drives measurable throughput and labor efficiency
Leverage AI across product development to accelerate documentation, automate process mapping, simulate throughput scenarios, and optimize capacity vs. labor tradeoffs
Use site-level operational data (L1/L2 telemetry, production metrics, and exception logs) to identify friction, reduce rework, and improve automation uptime and stability
Partner with engineering, operations, and vendors to develop configuration tooling and deployment frameworks that minimize customization and shorten new site enablement cycles
Collaborate cross-functionally with upstream (inventory, replenishment) and downstream (order management, customer delivery) teams to ensure system design supports total-network efficiency
Mentor and influence other product managers, setting standards for integration design, cross-system orchestration, and fulfillment performance analytics
Accelerate site expansion and deployment: Next year, we plan to launch new APD sites, setting the foundation to scale nationally in the following years. This role ensures we have the right architecture, tooling, and repeatable deployment model to launch each site faster and more consistently
