Responsibilities

Own the account strategy and execution plan to grow, defend, and retain the existing book of business
Drive growth by analyzing partner goals, delivering data-driven insights, and crafting narratives that lead to impactful media strategies
Cultivate strong relationships across client and agency stakeholders — from C-suite to activation — through strategic sessions, education summits, and QBRs
Serve as a platform expert, translating technical capabilities into business value and actionable strategies
Partner cross-functionally to uphold contractual SLAs and exceed client expectations
Build and execute a strategic business plan with clear milestones, driving alignment and accountability across internal and external stakeholders
Demonstrate executive presence by understanding the client’s full business landscape — from macro trends and KPIs to competitive pressures — challenging the status quo when needed
Lead annual deal and renewal conversations with a focus on sustainable, year-over-year growth
Deliver superior client service and maintain a high standard of operational excellence
Stay ahead of industry trends to anticipate partner needs and shape proactive solutions
Develop tailored, full-funnel media strategies that scale adoption of Viant’s platform and products
Identify new opportunities for expansion and innovation, introducing new products and betas to drive client success
Champion Viant’s value proposition with clarity and confidence, ensuring our differentiation is consistently reinforced across every interaction

Qualification

Required

6+ years in digital media; 3+ years in client-facing or strategic account management roles
Deep expertise in ad tech and digital advertising, with a strong understanding of full-funnel media and measurement solutions
Proven ability to build long-term partnerships and negotiate complex, high-value agreements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — able to connect insights to action and opportunity
Consistent record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals while balancing short-term wins with long-term strategy
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; thrives in fast-paced, high-accountability environments
Self-starter mindset with the curiosity and drive to learn, adapt, and lead through ambiguity
