Staff, Software Engineer - DevOps

Responsibilities
Architect, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code solutions tailored for fraud detection and prevention platforms
Lead the design and rollout of SRE tooling, including monitoring, alerting, and incident response automation for high-risk transactional systems
Drive adoption of DevOps and SRE principles across the team, mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction
Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure high availability, resilience, and security of fraud detection services
Participate in on-call rotations, applying deep technical expertise to swiftly diagnose and mitigate production issues, ensuring high availability and minimal disruption to customer support experiences
Champion operational excellence by identifying and eliminating toil, automating repetitive tasks, and improving system observability
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Contribute to the development and enforcement of internal standards and best practices for deployment, change management, reliability, and security
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or staff/principal capacity
Deep expertise in cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, or AWS), Kubernetes, and container orchestration
Strong understanding of Linux internals, enabling quick troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Strong proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Go, Bash, or similar)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), configuration management (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), and observability stacks (Openobserve, Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, Splunk)
Familiarity with security concepts and best practices
Proven track record of designing and operating highly available, scalable, and secure distributed systems—ideally in transactional or fraud prevention environments
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring mindset
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Option 2: 6 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Preferred
Experience with real-time data processing, or high-throughput transactional platforms
Experience with AI agents, MCP, or similar technologies
Experience with Spanner and/or Cassandra
Contributions to open-source DevOps/SRE tools or communities
Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area
Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly
Knowledge of accessibility best practices
