Responsibilities

Use TMS system to enter & process customer orders

Work closely with common carriers to ensure on-time deliveries by checking shipment status daily and maintaining transportation relationships

Communicate with associates from other shifts

Complete daily logs and checklists

Work with customer to resolve any transportation issues

Identify cost savings opportunities for the customer

Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor

Qualification

TMS system proficiencyCustomer service skillsLogistics experienceCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Proven communication skills with a strong focus on internal and external customer service

Ability to monitor delivery schedules to assure timely delivery of materials and products

Experience managing time sensitive information and transactions

Ability to track shipments for pick-up and estimate times of arrival and delivery

Experience recovering loads when necessary

Ability to use TMS system to enter & process customer orders

Experience working closely with common carriers to ensure on-time deliveries

Ability to check shipment status daily and maintain transportation relationships

Ability to communicate with associates from other shifts

Experience completing daily logs and checklists

Ability to work with customers to resolve transportation issues

Ability to identify cost savings opportunities for the customer

Willingness to take on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor
