Responsibilities

Installation/decommissioning of network and cabling infrastructure in a Data Center environment
Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes, always with an eye on improvement
Provide structured feedback on project progress to Stakeholders
Exhibit quality workmanship on all work and maintain Data Center cleanliness
Follow all production, safety and quality standards, codes, and industry best practices
Collaborate with various Stakeholders to remove project obstacles
Reading and comprehending blueprints and building documentation/redline work
Broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies
Knowledge and use of basic telecom hand tools
Must be capable of leading a crew of 1-5 technicians
Must understand customer service, perform job walks and communicate with customer for job requirements
Accept responsibility of outcome of work performed by him/her and/or by employee that directly report to him/her
Clear understanding of job safety requirements
Be able to read and understand job floor plan
Should be familiar on wiring schemes and wiring testing
Should be able to pull all types of low voltage cables
Should understand and be capable in performing field terminations and labeling
Capable of maintaining orderly paperwork, capable of running midsize to large projects and service jobs
Possess skill to layout MDF and IDF closets, be able to dress all types of cable and perform all types of terminations and should include basic understanding of fiber equipment, all types of cable and fiber terminations
Basic understanding of both copper and fiber cable testing and troubleshooting
Capable of working in Data Centers
Shall be able to work on analog, DSL, and be able to extend T1 lines
Be able to patch network equipment
Reports to Operations Manager and take daily directions from Technician, Technician II, Lead Technicians, Senior Technicians and Advance Senior Technicians
Track and submit timesheets for crew reporting
Perform job walks
Maintaining paperwork and running service jobs
Copper/Fiber (term, test, splice, troubleshoot)
Responsibly of outcome for work
Track and submit timesheets for crew
Effectively communicate with Foreman, Leads, Tech)
Understanding metrics/SLA's and able to track
Knowledge and understanding of network Handover
Track lessons learned as they occur
Coordinates with QAQC on quality status walks
Knowledge and understanding of Project Close Out
Identify the tech's strengths and weaknesses
