Associated Wholesale Grocers is the nation’s largest cooperative food wholesaler to independently owned supermarkets, serving over 1,000 members across 30+ states. The Category Sales Intern will gain hands-on experience in category management, working with the team to analyze and recommend strategies for key business activities.

Responsibilities

Work with the Category Sales team to learn about category management at one of the leading grocery wholesalers and gain hands-on experience in strategic planning, execution, analysis and making recommendations around key business driving activities

Work closely with the immediate team and other key internal and external business partners to achieve project goals shared with AWG leadership and impact future business activities

Have visibility for key processes and tools used to drive efficient, timely and profitable decisions that benefit our members

Required

Business Analysis, or similar major candidates

Junior or senior level students preferred. Recent grads acceptable

Solid communication skills

Initiative, enthusiasm to learn and ability to follow direction

Interest in SCM, logistics and grocery field

Ability to commit to a full-time, 40 hour per week, 10-week internship, with the possibility to work overtime as needed. Including regular and reliable attendance throughout the program
