Responsibilities

Perform engineering analysis under general supervision
Design or modify basic mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, or drawings/specifications under general supervision
Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects; identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues
Perform and document engineering test reports; generate alpha/gamma documentation for product releases
Perform engineering analysis; troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficulty under general supervision
Design, develop and implement custom mechanical tooling, fixturing and associated processes as needed
Enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle, as needed

Required

Master's Degree
Mechanical Engineering or related field
Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above

Preferred

Working experience with CAD software, thermodynamics, sheet metal design, material selection, manufacturing methods, GD&T, flow analysis and/or Design for Excellence principles, FEA structural / thermal analysis
Fundamental understanding of Mechanical Engineering concepts
Fundamental understanding of engineering mechanics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics
Skilled in Computer-Aided-design (CAD) software, preferably in Siemens NX
Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Basic knowledge of different material properties and their application in mechanical design
Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is preferable
