Senior Actuary | P&C Insurance
Global Accounting Network is a specialty property & casualty insurance carrier operating in the U.S. and U.K. markets. The Senior Analytics Actuary will lead actuarial pricing and analytical functions, developing and optimizing pricing models for specialty insurance products while collaborating with various teams to enhance portfolio performance and pricing strategies.

Responsibilities
Develop, refine, and maintain actuarial pricing models for various product portfolios
Advise underwriting leadership on pricing adequacy and new program opportunities
Review, update, and validate MGA pricing models to ensure accuracy and competitiveness
Build benchmark modeling frameworks to support pricing consistency
Introduce innovative pricing methodologies and incorporate advanced analytical techniques
Create and implement a comprehensive portfolio analytics structure
Conduct periodic portfolio assessments to identify trends, opportunities, and adverse developments
Develop dashboards and performance reporting tools to support continuous monitoring
Recommend optimization strategies grounded in data-driven insights
Partner with technology teams on data architecture, governance, and analytics platforms
Guide the development of data warehouses, analytical environments, and related infrastructure
Ensure high standards of data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the business
Promote best practices in data governance and analytical integrity
Establish advanced KPIs to evaluate program profitability, pricing adequacy, and risk exposures
Use predictive analytics to identify program trends, deterioration patterns, and emerging risks
Recommend corrective strategies for underperforming programs and monitor remediation efforts
Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership, program partners, and external stakeholders
Work closely with underwriting to align pricing frameworks with risk appetite and guidelines
Support product development in pricing new niche and specialty insurance offerings
Collaborate with IT, product, and program management on technology solutions that improve pricing, analytics, and reporting capabilities
Promote transparency internally and externally through actuarial insights and portfolio analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field
8+ years of property & casualty insurance experience focused on actuarial pricing, analytics, and portfolio management
Experience working within reinsurance, hybrid carrier environments, or MGA-focused program structures
Demonstrated success in building pricing models for both traditional and emerging specialty products
Experience collaborating with underwriting, product, IT, and program management teams
Deep understanding of specialty P&C insurance products and delegated authority / MGA operating models
Associate-level actuarial designation (ACAS or AIA)
Appropriate professional liability coverage related to actuarial work
Advanced proficiency in R, Python, SQL, SAS, and related statistical tools
Expertise in actuarial pricing software and modeling frameworks
Strong grounding in GLMs, machine learning, and predictive modeling techniques
Ability to create and present data visualizations to influence decision-making
Experience with BI tools and data warehouse environments
Exceptional quantitative skills and the ability to interpret complex datasets
Ability to translate analytical findings into strategic actions and recommendations
Innovative mindset toward pricing methodologies and analytics evolution
Capability to identify trends, emerging risks, and portfolio optimization levers
Excellent communication and presentation skills suitable for senior leadership and external partners
Preferred
Progress toward Fellowship (e.g., FCAS/FIAA) preferred but not required
Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar version-control and deployment tools
Familiarity with cloud-based analytics platforms and modern data engineering practices
