They are seeking a Software Engineer to develop space combat power and multi-domain simulation software, while also managing the workflow of junior engineers and leading projects under the Space Protection and Response Solution program.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the team using Confluence, Discourse, GitLab, and Jira

Perform code reviews and ensure high-quality standards

Partner with government leadership to align objectives

Capture customer requirements and feedback

Provide status updates and progress reports to leadership and customers

Conduct multidisciplinary research to support modeling and simulation goals

Contribute to software architecture and team vision discussions

Design, develop, document, test, and debug space simulation software

Required

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience

Strong proficiency in C++, including compiling, linking, and debugging

Successful completion of a technical coding challenge in C++

Hands-on experience with agent-based, event-driven modeling and simulation (constructive simulation experience preferred)

Experience with space systems and concepts (coordinate systems, time, orbital propagation, etc.)

Ability to analyze complex challenges, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions under pressure

U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance
