Instrument Equipment Technician - Night Shift

Responsibilities
Processes surgical instruments and supplies and uses appropriate techniques in handling instruments to avoid injury
Assures all the required instruments are on the tray by counting each instrument and verifying count in instrument tracking system
Decontaminates surgical instrumentation and resets instrument trays
Analyzes the outcome of the sterilization process to determine success and recalls loads if there is a discrepancy in the process
Reports breakage, missing instruments, supplies and equipment to the management
Demonstrates an awareness of precautions necessary in handling soiled instruments and equipment
Repairs, validates and performs preventive maintenance of instruments based on written procedures and training received
Qualification
Required
1 year of previous experience as instrument room aide
Bachelor's Degree
Master's Degree CNA: LPN: RN
Certification Name: CRCST
Good communication skills
