Domestic Violence Program Director

Solid Ground is a nonprofit organization focused on providing support services for individuals affected by domestic violence. The DV Program Director is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Broadview department, which includes emergency shelter and transitional housing, while ensuring quality service delivery and program sustainability.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership, oversight and support to facilitate day-to-day operations, strategic planning and delivery of services within Broadview โ€“ including the emergency shelter, transitional housing, children and youth programs, and other support services
Ensure program quality and sustainability by developing annual goals and outcome-based performance measures in response to community and program needs
Develop collaborative relationships with other organizations to maintain and increase support of Broadview programs and residents
Hire, train, supervise and evaluate Broadview leadership staff and support them in their supervision of client facing staff
Participate in Solid Ground management team to develop agency wide goals and systems
Develop budgets together with manager(s) for Broadview, including emergency shelter, transitional housing, client services, and facility budgets, and monitor regularly to ensure expenses are within budgetary guidelines
Foster an atmosphere of support and safety for residents, staff and volunteers, including de-escalating potentially violent situations and responding to client grievances

Required

Experience in domestic violence services or related field
Strong leadership and management skills
Ability to develop and monitor budgets
Experience in program evaluation and development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with community organizations
Experience in hiring, training, and supervising staff
Ability to respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention
Knowledge of legal advocacy and support services for victims of domestic violence
Commitment to diversity and inclusion in the workplace
