Responsibilities
Technical owner and lead for core platform areas across Kubernetes, Linux, and networking
Define the roadmap, design scalable and secure primitives (runtime, networking, storage), mentor engineers, and partner with adjacent teams to deliver a dependable Kubernetes based microservices platform
Qualification
Required
8+ years in systems/platform/infra engineering; 3+ years operating Kubernetes in production at meaningful scale
Deep Linux fundamentals (namespaces, cgroups, networking stack, filesystems) and strong TCP/IP knowledge (routing, NAT, load-balancing concepts, TLS/PKI)
Hands-on Kubernetes expertise (cluster operations, custom resources/controllers, networking/storage/ingress patterns)
Proficiency in a systems programming and Golang, Python
Familiarity with infrastructure as code concepts and declarative configuration management
Security mindset: access controls, network segmentation, workload isolation, and vulnerability reduction
Experience across both cloud and on-prem environments
Clear communication and demonstrated end-to-end technical leadership
Lead through influence: run design reviews, set quality bars, mentor 4-8 engineers, and communicate trade-offs to leadership and partner teams
