Responsibilities

Develops, modifies and applies quality principles to the development and use of software and software-based systems for make and/or buy software products
Develops overall operating criteria to ensure implementation of the software quality program according to project, process and contract requirements and objectives
Designs and implements software development and maintenance processes
Defines audit strategy to ensure compliance to systems/software processes
Designs, specifies and conducts test methods for software inspection, verification and validation
Evaluates and analyzes software quality systems for deficiency identification and correction; ensures measures meet acceptable reliability standards; performs software product reviews against contractual, technical and/or process requirements; reviews requirement specifications, design documents, source code, test plans and procedures, materials, tools, techniques, and methodologies
Performs or directs verification of software requirement allocations, traceability, and testability
Candidate must work well in a team environment, have excellent customer interface and is expected to quickly come up to speed with the program work scopes, technical requirements, program risks, and delivery milestone schedule. This role requires interfacing with systems and software development personnel, test and evaluation personnel, and project managers
Travel may be required to support program activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in STEM
Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance
Experience with product development phases
Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Demonstrated basic understanding of audit techniques
Software Quality or Engineering experience in Requirements Analysis, Design/Development, Product Integration and Test
Experience working with all levels of Government customers and stakeholders
Experience with presentation & problem solving skills

Preferred

Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt)
ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CSQ) and / or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)
Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems/Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)
Different program phase experience (development, production, sustainment)
Experience with multiple programs or line of business
SAP
Candidate should possess experience in missile programs
Experience driving strategies resulting in the strengthening the Software Quality Management -Systems both at internal sites and at key software suppliers
