Responsibilities
Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns (individuals, partnerships, S-corps, C-corps, trusts)
Provide strategic tax planning and year-round advisory services to clients
Review and respond to IRS, FTB, and other agency notices; manage all related correspondence and resolutions
Oversee additional compliance filings including sales/use tax and business property tax
Maintain well-organized and accurate client documentation
Identify opportunities for workflow optimization and practice development
Mentor and support junior team members as the firm expands
Qualification
Required
Active CPA license required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
10+ years of tax preparation experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or supervisory role
Strong technical expertise across various entity types
Proven ability to manage client relationships independently
Proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite
High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Preferred
QuickBooks experience preferred
