Responsibilities

Assembles data and assists with problem-solving requiring basic theories and Engineering fundamentals
Utilizes computer programs to solve Engineering problems
Assists with layout and design of routine small and medium-sized Engineering projects
Assists with specification development or preparation
Assists with technical evaluation of equipment and material
Assists in maintaining accurate and current project documentation
May perform as a member of a survey or GPS mapping crew
Performs other duties as required

GIS/GPS mappingEngineering fundamentalsTechnical evaluationProject documentationEffective communication

Required

One (1) year of experience in an Engineering or Technical area relevant to the assignment
Knowledge of specialized equipment, methods and techniques appropriate to assignment, including GIS/GPS mapping techniques
Skill in safely using, maintaining and repairing specialized equipment to complete assigned projects
Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards

Preferred

High School diploma or GED
