Revenue Specialist II, ROPS

Responsibilities

Establish Reimbursement Operations infrastructure for new centers; provide timely communications to functional areas
Consistent Follow-up as liaison between our ROPS team and License & Certification Team
Communicate Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers or issues to appropriate departments
Obtain, verify, and submit information for new provider set-up in billing system
Collect, verify, and enter demographic and insurance information for patients in acquired centers into appropriate systems
Provide analyses as needed including Accounts Receivable for potential acquisitions
Maintain internal tracking tools and assist in developing process improvement initiatives
Complete Medicare/Medicaid applications for Electronic Data Interchange, Claims, Electronic Funds Transfer, and Electronic Remit Advice
Obtain data for manual charge capture, import and reporting
Researches and resolves Medicare, Medicaid issues, with a concentration on root cause analysis
These issues should be tracked through the Remedy ticketing system and followed up in a consistent manner
Provides reporting data to management and other teammates as needed
Performs additional process reviews as directed by the Acquisition/Integration Manager & Supervisor; identifies opportunities for improvement and implements changes as directed
Maintains current knowledge of all applicable department and company policies and processes; maintains current knowledge of all applicable billing and A/R-related systems
UAT Test billing system enhancements prior to implementation
Able to think outside of the box for solutions to complex problems
Collaborates with other ROPS teams, Compliance, IT, GPA, and Legal Teams as necessary to resolve issues
Manages projects that arise as a result of various initiatives
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned including but not limited to:
Work overtime with little or no notice as needed
Attend team meetings, phone conferences, and training as needed
Know, understand, and follow teammate guidelines, employment policies, and department or company procedures
Maintains current knowledge of all applicable department and company policies and processes; maintains current knowledge of all applicable billing and A/R-related systems
Able to think outside of the box for solutions to complex problems
Collaborates with other ROPS teams, Team Accela Lanes, Setup Lanes, Compliance, IT,GPA, and Legal Teams as necessary to resolve issues Revenue Specialist II, Team Action (Malvern)

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Detail oriented and very organized
Minimum of one year of project management experience
Intermediate skills in electronic billing systems
Minimum of one (1) year of healthcare collections and medical billing, insurance verification, or related experience
Intermediate computer skills and proficiency in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook required
Full Time Position (40 hours minimum)
Minimum of one year (1) year of experience demonstrating strong problem solving skills, critical thinking and root cause analysis

Associate's degree in related areas preferred
