Responsibilities

Create novel technologies of potential broad impact for future antibody therapeutics
Collaborate with other researchers across different scientific disciplines
Author/coauthor scientific publications
Be part of the Genentech postdoctoral training program that provides an outstanding environment for the pursuit of fundamental scientific questions of therapeutic relevance

Qualification

Antibody engineeringProtein characterizationMolecular evolutionRational designIndependent researchAI tools explorationCommunicationCollaboration skills

Required

Ph D in Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Protein Chemistry or a related discipline
One or more first author research publications in high quality journals in protein/antibody engineering or a related field
Experience in protein/antibody engineering from rational design, through generation of mutants, to the expression, purification and characterization of mutant proteins
Creative individuals with a passion for science and technology and capable of independent research in a collaborative environment are particularly encouraged to apply
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred

Particularly welcome are curious and critical explorers of AI tools for research including publications
