Responsibilities
Measure and inspect tooling and components to ensure customer specifications are met
Work from tool drawings, numerical control data, quality procedures and instructions
In-process inspection and final inspection of parts, sub-assemblies during manufacturing per customer requirements
Inspection of all incoming parts and materials, which are used on end item products (tooling) as required by contract. Responsible for product acceptance
Locate details on tooling sub-assemblies and assist with assembly
Perform complete manual inspections and layout techniques
Responsible for maintaining Laser Tracker equipment utilized to perform job duties
Inspect details to complete tools utilizing hand tools, surface plate or laser tracker to print and/or model
Initiate applicable non-conformance documents as required
Provide analysis of collected data and evaluate it to provide direction for remaining operations
Effectively communicate to fabricators, machinists, assemblers, engineers, and other parties as required

Qualification
Required
Associates degree in related field required
Technician Certification
Minimum of two years of experience in large scale machining / manufacturing and / or CMM operation
Knowledge of Verisurf, Spatial Analyzer and other metrology software
Follows processes and standard procedures
Follows written instructions, diagrams, and blueprints
Hands on, get it done attitude
Displays a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner
Achieves thoroughness and accuracy when accomplishing a task through concern for all the areas involved
Clear and effective communication skills in both written and spoken forms
Understands how to use the computers, including such tasks as turning the computer on and off, locating and opening files, navigate to websites, perform searches, and download files
Knowledge of computer applications including email, databases, word-processing program and spreadsheets (such as Microsoft Office)
Ensures that decisions are made based on policies, rules and organizational directives to solve emerging problems
Performs consistently under stressful conditions
Easy to approach and can build constructive and effective relationships
Can handle frequent interruptions and can multi-task
Identifies problems and review relevant information to develop options, then implement the solutions
Works effectively with different levels of management, team members and customers
Inspects equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects
