Quality Lab Technician

Ashley Global Retail is seeking a Quality Lab Technician who plays a key role in ensuring that products meet quality standards. The technician will be responsible for testing samples, documenting results, and communicating findings, while also assisting in the training and development of other lab technicians.

Responsibilities

Obtain accurate test samples and conduct testing procedures in accordance with all SOPs and quality standards

Document all test results clearly and distribute findings to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner

Immediately alert management when test results indicate the need for corrective action

Assist in administering cross‑training for lab technicians to ensure adequate coverage and team capability

Participate in weekly team meetings to communicate departmental updates, goals, and issues

Support team development through weekly coaching, training, and company-provided learning activities

Demonstrate Ashley’s Core and Growth Values in all job duties and interactions

Follow and support all Ashley Furniture policies and procedures

Maintain reliable attendance and adhere to all safety protocols

Actively participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuing education

Assist in training other employees and providing departmental backup as needed

Complete additional tasks, assignments, and special projects as required

Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and safe lab environment

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Ability to follow procedures, adhere to guidelines, and work independently or as part of a team

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Willingness to learn and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

Preferred

Technical or laboratory coursework

Laboratory or quality assurance experience (manufacturing environment ideal)
