History (Japanese or Chinese) Tenure-Track Faculty
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Japanese or Chinese history. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses, contribute to graduate programs, and maintain an active research agenda in the field.

Teach courses in the history of Japan and China to undergraduate students
Contribute to graduate programs
Teach courses in the general education curriculum
Work with campus partners
Maintain an active research agenda. While research expertise in both Chinese and Japanese is not required, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses for majors in both fields
Qualification
Required
A terminal degree in history or a closely related field is required by the appointment date
Applicants must include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, statement of teaching philosophy, statement of research or creative activities (as appropriate to the discipline), and unofficial graduate transcripts as separate attachments at the time of online application
Proof of U.S. citizenship or eligibility for U.S. employment is required before employment (Immigration Control Act of 1986)
