Senior LevelThe University of Utah is seeking a faculty member for a career-line position in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, focused on aerospace and systems engineering. The role involves developing and teaching courses in the Master of Science programs in Aerospace Engineering and Systems Engineering, as well as advising senior design projects.

Responsibilities
Develop and teach new elective and core courses in the MSAE program
Develop or teach courses in the systems engineering program, potentially in aerospace-systems cross-over areas
Teach core junior/senior mechanical engineering courses to complete their teaching load
Participate in the Senior Design Capstone Program as an advisor to teams with aerospace or systems related projects
Be active in department, university, and professional service activities
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in a related field, preferably with aerospace or systems experience
Exceptional teaching ability at the undergraduate senior/masters level in aerospace engineering and systems engineering
Capability of teaching and developing courses for the Master of Science program in Aerospace Engineering (MSAE)
Contributing to teaching in the Master of Science in Systems Engineering (MSSE)
Advising projects in the Senior Design Capstone Program
Ability to develop and teach new elective and core courses in the MSAE program
Ability to develop or teach courses in the systems engineering program
Ability to teach core junior/senior mechanical engineering courses
Ability to interact with local industry
Participation in department, university, and professional service activities
Track record of high-quality teaching
