Senior LevelThe University of Utah is seeking an Assistant Professor to lead the Patient Support Program within the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. This role involves providing psychosocial and counseling support to patients with visual impairments, supervising staff, and collaborating with community programs while also educating residents and fellows.

Responsibilities
Supervising a small multidisciplinary staff
Individual and group counseling for patients with visual impairment/blindness and their families
Providing information and referrals
Collaborating with community programs and agencies that support people who are blind
Educating ophthalmology residents and fellows
Offering supportive and crisis counseling to department staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be LCSW licensed with a PhD or DSW
Skills required for this position include: crisis counseling, rehabilitation counseling, group work, teaching, and community education
