The University of Utah seeks an exceptional general (non-invasive) cardiology leader to serve as the Section Chief for the General Cardiology Section within the Cardiovascular Medicine Division. This role involves overseeing a team dedicated to high-quality patient care and advancing the division's clinical, research, and educational missions.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Section Chief for the General Cardiology Section within the Cardiovascular Medicine Division
Further the growth and innovation of the program’s clinical, research, educational, and other programmatic missions
Oversee a faculty and advanced practice clinicians covering non-invasive cardiovascular diseases
Provide outpatient and inpatient services in multiple locations
Promote a collaborative environment that enhances clinical growth and academic development
Work closely with the Cardiovascular Medicine Chief and departmental leaders
Foster the growth of others and mentor faculty and trainees
Recruit and retain excellent clinical and research faculty
Navigate complex multidisciplinary environments and build trust with stakeholders

ABIM Board certificationEchocardiographyNuclear medicineAcademic leadershipResearch fundingEffective communicationMentoring experienceCollaboration skills

Required

ABIM Board certification in cardiology
Board eligible in echocardiography and nuclear medicine
Eligibility for a Utah medical license

Preferred

Academic experience as an Associate Professor or Professor
National or international research reputation, clinical leadership, and progressive administrative experience
