Student Career Program Manager (Assoc. Director of Student Engagement & Programming)

This position involves providing career advising to students and alumni, designing career readiness programming, and collaborating with various departments to enhance student engagement and outcomes.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and small group career advising to students and alumni, including reviewing application materials, preparing for interviews, and developing job search strategies
In collaboration with the Associate Director of Employer Recruitment, put together and lead employer informational sessions
Design, lead or coordinate workshops and programming on careers in the law, job search skills, and professional identity formation
Outreach to faculty, student organizations, and law school departments to integrate career development into the academic and co-curricular experience
Coordinate the advisement of tracking of the employment status of the most recent graduated class; contribute to the annual collection of data collection and reporting of the employment status of the most recent graduated class, as mandated by ABA and NALP
Work with Alumni Engagement to connect students with alumni for mentoring, networking, and career opportunities
Collaborate with Admissions and Communications to highlight and communicate student career outcomes to prospective students and external audiences
Coordinate with other units within the Student Affairs & Enrollment Management Division in conjunction with career development with student support and wellness initiatives
Develop innovative programs that enhance student engagement in career readiness
Supervise the Assistant Director of Career Planning
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and six years' related experience required
Preferred
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with at least 3 years of legal practice experience, preferably in public interest or public service sectors
Demonstrated experience advising a diverse student population in a graduate or professional school setting
Strong communication skills including the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences and to collaborate across stakeholders
Experience with data collection, analysis and assessment, to inform decision-making and measure outcomes
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Basic proficiency in career management software, spreadsheets and word processing software
