Responsibilities
Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for Controller review
Prepare, post, and document journal entries with accuracy and completeness
Review monthly reconciliations (bank, credit card, loan, intercompany, and balance sheet accounts)
Ensure consistent application of accounting policies
Review general ledger activity and identify any necessary adjustments
Collaborate with the junior accountant to verify daily transaction accuracy and to maintain consistent processes
Prepare monthly reporting packages and variance analyses
Support budgeting and forecasting efforts
Assist Controller with ad hoc financial/credit analysis to support management decision-making
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
3+ years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or comparable software
Excel skills (including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
