Responsibilities

Teach in-person courses across the undergraduate Games and Masters MEAE curriculum to students on the Salt Lake City Campus
Contribute to university and professional service, which may include collaborative work to expand our curriculum, outreach to local industry and government partners, or recruitment efforts
Demonstrate expertise in at least one of the Technical Arts areas listed
Provide evidence of creating games with interdisciplinary teams through the use of technology and software
Commitment to the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students in lectures, seminars, and studio simulations

Required

Hold a terminal degree in a games-related field (e.g., Ph.D. in Computer Science, MFA in Art)
Expertise in at least one of the Technical Arts areas listed (tool scripting, procedural content generation, virtual production, lighting, and/or VFX)
Provide evidence of creating games with interdisciplinary teams through the use of technology and software
Commitment to the teaching and mentoring of undergraduate and graduate students in lectures, seminars, and studio simulations
Broad knowledge of the practical aspects of game development
Contribute to university and professional service, which may include collaborative work to expand our curriculum, outreach to local industry and government partners, or recruitment efforts

Preferred

Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of current production trends, tools, workflows, and pipelines, for instance, through recent industry experience as Technical Leads
