Sr Principal Engineer Manufacturing Systems

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing nonrecurring and recurring tasks and projects including accountability for cost, schedule, performance through all phases, and execution of transition to production activities of the developed systems to program and functional manufacturing spaces
Coordinates/leads multi-disciplined teams to solve complex technical problems (design and/or manufacturing related)
Directly supports various IPTL and customers as the Control Account Manager for Salt Lake City activity including program risk and opportunity management
Presents at program reviews to directors and vice presidents

Required

Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience; Master's Degree with 6 years of experience
Control Account Management and/or Earned Value Management experience
Engineering experience
Experience using project management tools and practices
Experience executing complex technical projects with little or no direction
U.S. Citizenship Required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Preferred

Experience as a Control Account Manager or Earned Value Management on a large development program
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Extensive experience working with technical drawings and specifications
Extensive experience planning and managing technical projects
Experience with Inertial systems, Inertial sensors, related technology, and manufacturing systems
Experience with assembly & test processes
Experience with SAP/ERP system
Master's Degree in Engineering or Management
Active Secret Clearance
