Assistant Professor (Lecturer)- College of Social Work
The University of Utah College of Social Work invites applications for multiple 12-month career-line faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor (Lecturer) with teaching responsibilities in the BSW and MSW programs. The role focuses on delivering high-quality education in areas such as mental health and social justice, while fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses during fall, spring and summer semester
Prepare, design, and deliver lectures and course content
Utilize innovative and inclusive teaching methods to engage learners with a broad array of backgrounds and experiences
Facilitate class discussions and activities
Create and administer course assignments, examinations, and other assessments
Proactively engage with and support the success of students
Support and contribute to curriculum development efforts as needed for courses
Ensure the quality of teaching by engaging in ongoing professional development opportunities
Create and maintain cooperative, collaborative, and effective working relationships with administrators, faculty members, and staff in the delivery of courses and programs
Participate in college and university committees
Perform other duties as assigned by the dean
Qualification
Required
Earned an MSW degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited program
A minimum of three years social work teaching experience
A minimum of two years of post-MSW social work practice experience
Preferred
A doctorate in social work or in a related field
Five or more years of post-MSW social work practice experience
