YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is dedicated to positive youth development and is seeking a Site Team Lead to oversee daily activities and interactions with children. The role involves ensuring program quality, providing leadership to staff, and maintaining necessary supplies for the program while fostering a safe and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities

Ensure the implementation of positive youth development practices with all daily activities and interactions with children

Ensure program quality including assisting in implementing curriculum

Providing leadership and guidance to staff

Overseeing the ordering and distribution of snacks, materials and all supplies needed to operate the program

Provide direct service, when necessary, to execute the program

Meet accreditation standards and extensive training and development in research-based practices

Mentor staff and engage directly with youth

Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor

Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children

Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor

Completing all child abuse prevention training as required

Required

Age 19+ with experience in childcare, education, or youth leadership

Strong communication skills and passion for youth development

Ability to lead a team, coordinate programs, and support families
