Project Engineer
Sonaca North America is supporting the Naval Air Systems Command with a focus on the F/A-18 & EA-18G Fleet Support Team. The Project Engineer will manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality standards and fostering collaboration among stakeholders.

Responsibilities
Developing project sustainment tasks related to the F/A-18 aircraft by reviewing sponsor project proposals and plans and conferring with management to align on deliverables
Determining project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements and assigning personnel accordingly
Analyzing and establishing project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements, and performance standards
Designing and conducting technical studies and tests to confirm product performance and sustainment viability
Creating and managing detailed project schedules by calculating time requirements and sequencing project elements
Monitoring and coordinating ongoing project activities, identifying, and resolving issues to maintain project timelines
Controlling project plans through continuous review of designs, specifications, and schedule changes while recommending necessary actions to management
Preparing comprehensive project status reports, analyzing trends, and providing strategic recommendations
Responsible for planning and execution of engineering development efforts for a cross functional engineering and logistics team
Responsible for overseeing and managing complex engineering projects from conception to completion
Providing a blend of strong engineering expertise and proven project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
Serve as a key liaison for the FST lead and various stakeholders, including clients, engineering teams, and other departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle
Developing and maintaining project plans, staffing plans, and related planning documents to support FST tasking
Qualification
Required
Current Secret Clearance Is Required
Has over three (3) to 10 years of experience in Engineering and Logistics program/project management
BS or BA degree in Business Administration or a 'Relevant Technical Discipline'
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Preferred
Degree in an engineering field is strongly preferred
