Responsibilities

Develop and use novel strategies to assess multivariate relationships at molecular, cellular and/or network levels
Conduct omics level computational assessments of biomolecules and cells in relation to brain function and disease
Engage in computational modeling and simulation of health-relevant biomolecular structure, dynamics and networks
Model health relevant signals that report biomolecular activity in model systems vivo
Sustain a robust research and teaching portfolio, both independently and in collaboration
Work closely with the Executive Director of the SNBI to develop the Program in Computational Brain Science and Health
Set strategic directions, foster a culture of innovation, and facilitate integration of engineering and computer science programs with graduate neuroscience offerings
Demonstrate a significant record of research funding and scholarly contributions
Mentor students and junior faculty
Commit to high-quality teaching across diverse courses
Participate actively in interdisciplinary initiatives

Required

A significant track record of research and scholarly contributions in computational neuroscience, neural data science, and brain-inspired computation
Experience in interdisciplinary research, particularly integrating engineering, computer science, and neuroscience
Demonstrated success in securing competitive external research funding
Commitment to high-quality teaching across diverse courses
Substantial experience in mentoring students and junior faculty
Ability to set strategic directions and foster innovation within the Computational Neuroscience Program
Leadership experience in managing research projects and teams
