Senior Data Center M&E Technician - Night Shift

Responsibilities

Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with OEM recommendations and industry standards
Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment
Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company-developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations
Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement
Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment
Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC or Electrical-related client problems
Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures. Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met. Conduct routine quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records
Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work
Oversee all building systems including fire/life safety, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical issues. Must remain current with the latest technology trends
Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns
Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects
Model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement
Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues that may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes

Qualification

Journeyman/Electrician licenseData center experienceHVAC systems knowledgeFire/life safety systemsPreventative maintenanceTechnical discipline trainingBasic math skillsCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Journeyman/Electrician license required (or obtainable within 60 days of employment)
3+ years of relevant data center or other mission critical experience
Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
Must meet the physical requirements of this role
Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents
Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook
Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups

Preferred

Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent and / or a combination of experience and education will be considered
Relevant military experience will be considered
